How To Feel Abundant When You Are BrokeOk here’s the problem, life somehow seems to have conspired against you and the cash you had or were expecting to have is not available or you’ve unexpectedly lost your job, found that your partners emptied the bank account and left. Maybe you’ve just overspent and have high debts.
Life can be like that, stuff happens that to the best of your awareness you did not want to happen, thought and hoped wouldn’t happen etc. etc. None the less it did and the upshot is you now feel anything but abundant.
What is to be done?

Beyond the "Law Of Attraction"The so called Law Of Attraction has been big business lately, particularly with the publication of The Secret book and movie. Here I offer some further considerations on the topic.
Recommending Dr Robert Anthony
One of the perks of running a web site such as this is that people send or offer me free books and programs to evaluate, even when I have not been putting much energy into the site of late due to other business. The arrival a week or two back of an email offering me a chance to review Dr Robert Anthony’s “Rich Mind Life Strategies” program stimulated some interest.

Manifesting – Beyond the basics…Some seven years ago I penned the article “Manifesting – The Basics”, since then I’ve been researching by way of the experiment that is my life and offer this follow up article as a further look at the subject of manifesting what you want and by implication, living more fully and happily, which is the target I suspect that most of us are engaged upon to some degree.

Getting Out Of The Way - Letting Go.Creating the life of our dreams is about letting go and letting life; we dream and life fills in the details. This creative journey may be very different to the plans our limited ego based minds might have envisaged. Hence the saying “Be careful what you wish for because you might just get it”.

The Abundance of Time- “I would, but I haven’t got enough time”
- “If only I had enough time”
- “There’s never enough time”
How many time have you said or heard others say statements similar to those?
Compassionate Resolutions
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Its the time of resolutions and positive plans for the coming months.
Making resolutions can however become yet another way to beat ourselves over the head for our perceived failings.

Don't Think About Elephants!Ok – so what are you thinking about?

How go the Goals?Further to my earlier entry Write it down I have been watching my patterns of avoidance sneak into being again.
Greed or Abundance?
Many talk about how all the problems of this world are brought about by greed and corruption etc. etc. and may suggest that a so called abundance consciousness is simply more greed dressed in a different frock.
Free Goal Setting Software!
Ok, its a grand title but it may be useful to you. Its a pre-formatted Excel workbook that you can fill in and use to re-direct your life in positive ways.
Write it down!
I have been reviewing my goals lately and particularly comparing how I run my personal life with how my company completes the fairing and painting of a superyacht.
Remember Me?
Well its been awhile hasn’t it… July was my last post ummm…

The Vaccine For PovertyFor a change I visited Omidyar.net last night to see what was being discussed as I have not been on line there for sometime. Omidyar.net is a discussion forum set up by Pierre Omidyar the founder of eBay to help facilitate positive change in the world as stated here.
Starting the day with abundance.
In the old days I might of thought “ho hum here we go again” and trudged about my day on auto pilot. It was not that I was generally particularly miserable or anything but rather that I had not become conscious of how much my habitual thought choices affected my feelings and consequently my experience of the passing of a day.

Abundance SnagsThe first thing that happens when you seek to manifest change is that you meet all the aspects of your psyche actively keeping that change from manifesting.
The Vortex
I’ve been reflecting a lot lately on the ways of life. This being particularly prompted by my life entering a new phase of uncertainty with the completion of a run of yacht projects and no definite answer as to what comes next. This being coupled by many other customer variables beyond my control or apparent influence.

You Deserve - You JudgeIt has been awhile since I posted anything here as my life has been focused in other directions lately. However I offer a few thoughts now on the nature of how we deserve “abundance” and how we block it.

Rebirth Of The SoulQuantum physics, the greatest intellectual triumph of the 20th century, has made the spiritual worldview completely believable.
Another Fine Thought
See your life as a work of art, a work of love.
Create your life as a dance of spirit.
Generate self-respect in everything you are , do and say.
Learn to recognise those areas where you do not do that.
Practice replacing judgement with love and space.
A Peaceful Thought
Internal peace is an essential first step to achieving peace in the world. How do you cultivate it? It’s very simple. In the first place by realizing clearly that all mankind is one, that human beings in every country are members of one and the same family.

Day 10 - Go Gratitude Masterkey
Establishing a relationship with the universe through the outflow of Gratitude also attracts life experience that is trans formative – experience that is richly devoted to uncovering life’s deepest meaning and most formative purpose.

New Research Reveals That Thoughts Affect GenesThomas Herold over at Quantum Biocommunication has posted an item on some very interesting research by cellular biologist Dr. Bruce Lipton, a former medical school professor and research scientist.
Go Gratitude Masterkey
Here is an inspiring site to visit GiveMeTheMasterKey. Stacey Robyn seems to have had something of a life changing eureka moment whilst on retreat and is now totally inspired to great a million person wave of gratitude across the planet. This is rather timely seeing as it is Thanksgiving in the US Thursday 24-11-05
Here is a bargain.
One of my favourite books is on special at Cygnus for just £2.60 which is 80% of the RRP.
Local Max meets personal growth
Lately I have been reading Seth Godin’s blog and was rather taken by his account of Local Max as whilst it is focused upon the business world it also, in my view, exactly reflects the passage of our personal growth and evolution.
Million Dollar Blockages
Well now, its almost a week since I made the Million Dollar Commitment and I have been reflecting much on where this is leading me and where I feel challenged.
Carbon Neutral
I found this excellent site today that offers ways in which we can neutralise our carbon outputs by purchasing trees etc. They describe it like so…
Reflections On The Million Dollar Experiment
Well it’s been a couple of days since I committed to The Million Dollar Experiment and formally declared an intent in public to manifest a million bucks from income sources outside of my usual lines of supply.
The Million Dollar Experiment
In an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in its own perfect time, for the highest good of all, I intend $1,000,000 to come into my life and into the lives of everyone who holds this intention.
Prepare For The Best
Updated January 2007
How do you want to live? In fear of the potentially endless apparent problems and setbacks that may hinder your life? Or buoyed by joy and the anticipation of a life well lived? I certainly prefer the latter.

Little ego, big ego, non ego, greater ego, higher self, oneness - eh?I observe a great deal of confusion around the issue of the ego. However I also believe that understanding of the facets of the ego is essential to embracing a full and abundant life. So here is my summary of what it is all about.
There's not enough time?
When considering issues of abundance we cannot fail to question what it is we value in our lives and why we may desire more of one thing and less of something else including time.
What bad day?
Well having rather amusingly deleted my previous entry around so called bad days I am back to have another shot.
Having A Bad Day
Hello,
I just wrote an entry on how to deal with having a bad day.
I accidently deleted it…..
Funny that.

Money, Energy and Relationship.Consider those people to whom you feel closest to and most comfortable with.
Why do you feel close to them relative to others, what is the difference?
Reflections on a Ferrari
It seems strange to me that whilst I am a peaceful Friends Of The Earth supporting, greenie, tree hugging type I also harbour a fascination for Ferraris and performance cars in general but particularly Ferraris. What is that about?
Fading Toward Enlightenment
One of the pleasures of operating this website is the unexpected contact and messages that I receive. An instance of this occurred a week of so back when I had an email from Wayne Wirs the author, photographer and publisher of this very beautiful book Fading Towards Enlightenment

Spending as a prayer? In the work of transforming our relationship to money and the financial aspects of abundance I feel it is important to cultivate feelings of gratitude and thankfulness for what we do have now regardless of whether we perceive this as being insufficient for our needs wants or desires.
Debt and Abundance
I was exploring Demos and Inequality today and reflecting on the growing divide between rich and poor along with the rise in credit card debt and wondering on an approach to this from a more holistic perspective.

Which is more important aptitude or attitude?

Live 8 - A Better World?Saturday 2nd July 2005 was a very moving and memorable day for me as I enjoyed the Live 8 concerts. I was deeply moved and encouraged. Billions of people united by the act of watching the concerts globally and thereby also considering, in some part, the substantial issues of global poverty, debt relief, aid and fair-trade.

Comfortable With Uncertainty... “Comfortable with uncertainty”, I really feel that is a special quality to embrace, learn and nurture. To my mind the stress disorders that plague the modern western world are the result of many of us being highly uncomfortable with uncertainty.
Facing The Fear
I have been wanting to do forwards my windsurfer for more than 15 years. Early attempts in the late 1980’s resulted in a bruised head and a perforated ear drum. During the 90’s I only windsurfed sporadically and never felt confident enough to fling myself head long over my equipment.

Thought For The DayWhat if funky, confusing, gray, lonely days were just part of a “system” that, in turn, created bright, rich, happy, friendly days?
Free, Free, Free, it has to be Free....
Now and then I do some Gooooogling around the keyword Abundance and visit some of the many sites offering advice and or products relating to Abundance, naturally.
I am struck by how many of these sites and others use the “Free” hook. “Free ebook” “Free teleseminar” “Free chapter” “Free ecourse” etc. Clearly this is a very effective marketing technique but what does it tell us about us?

The Optimum Performance ExpertNow there’s an important looking phrase – “Optimum Performance Expert”, sounds impressive doesn’t it?
There are many self help “gurus” and “OPE’s” working their stuff here on planet Earth but I am often a little suspicious of defining optimum and then claiming to be an expert on achieving it.
Global Warming, Exxon and the power of vibration.Mother Jones recently ran a piece highlighting the $8million ExxonMobil has funded into “thinktanks” promoting a view that global warming is not a man made phenomenon. Clearly popular opinion holds that it is man made and results largely from human CO2 pollution from industrial wastes etc. Of course popular opinion may not be correct but isn’t arguing about the causes a distraction from the true task at hand? What about solutions?
Wow, 20 days and no post!
I have been having a full and abundant time lately to such an extent that I have not made time to post anything on this web project of mine. Where have I been?
March 2005
Questions Of DebtI was struck recently by the headline that some 75% people with debt show physical signs of stress.
What Is Abundance Anyway?
The Oxford English Dictionary defines abundance like so:
• noun 1 a very large quantity. 2 the state of having a very large quantity; plentifulness: vines grew in abundance. 3 the amount of something present in a particular area, volume, or sample.
— ORIGIN Latin abundantia, from abundare ‘overflow’
Very soulful eh?
The Heart Of The Matter
That is an interesting thread of words, “The heart of the matter” one that I believe holds a very useful clue for those manifesting a consciously designed life.

Welcome to the Zero Emissions Research and Initiative
ZERI has spent 10 years in the field developing projects that demonstrate how we can do so much more with what nature provides, meeting the basic needs of all species in co-evolution with nature. After much trial and error and the influence of many scientists, entrepreneurs, and educators, ZERI offers a hopeful vision for the next 10 years.
Why am I here?
Well this little site of mine has been live for a month now and I am called to look a little deeper at what my goals or needs for the site are.

Problems And Solutions - Another World Is HereThe article below is from my site of the moment WorldChanging: Another World Is Here and to me further illustrates that many solutions are always available to us when faced with a problem. The task is…
The Growing Abundance of Natural Resources
This is an interesting article that runs contrary to much of the doom and gloom we here about resource depletion. Its an excerpt from the book Market Liberalism: A Paradigm for the 21st Century.
The article maintains that we have more known resources than ever before:
Ending Poverty? - something to think about.
The excellent and informative site WorldChanging ran a feature on 5th January ‘05 around ending poverty
I found the responses interesting.
How Much Money Is There?
I have just spent an hour or so attempting to find out how much money there is in the world.

Ellen McArthur - Through The Window
A great rush of euphoria and national pride has gripped the UK today with the return home of lone yachtswoman, 28 year old Ellen McArthur.
Eco Footprints - Have we run out of planet?
An ecological footprint is the amount of land area required to sustain one human being. Globally, there are about 1.9 hectares of productive area per person, but the average ecological footprint is already 2.3 hectares. So we would need 1.5 Earths to live sustainably. Oh dear more lack…
