Welcome to the Zero Emissions Research and Initiative
ZERI has spent 10 years in the field developing projects that demonstrate how we can do so much more with what nature provides, meeting the basic needs of all species in co-evolution with nature. After much trial and error and the influence of many scientists, entrepreneurs, and educators, ZERI offers a hopeful vision for the next 10 years.
Zero Emissions Research and Initiatives (ZERI) is a global network of creative minds, seeking solutions to the ever increasing problems of the world. The members take on challenges, other will consider impossible or too complex. Starting from ideas, based on science, the common vision shared by each and every member of the ZERI network is to seek sustainable solutions for society, from unreached communities to corporations inspired by nature’s design principles. Innovative solutions are constantly designed by the ZERI teams drawn from many walks of life and expertise.
ZERI presents yet another of example of positive visions for the future of our world. Living fully creatively and abundantly by following natures example. The site offers several case studies showing how their ideas have been put into action. The Columbia Reforestation Project being one of the best.
Imagine miles and miles of desolate savannah in Eastern Colombia, without a tree or bird or child in sight, a veritable no-man’s land. For Paolo Lugari this was the perfect place to implement a vision: if a sustainable community could be created in such adverse environmental, social and political conditions, it could be done anywhere on the planet. Las Gaviotas has done just that, and much more.
Way to go Paolo!
