Free Goal Setting Software!

Life Goals Template

Following on from my earlier Write it down post I have created a simple Excel workbook template that you can use to get started with some goal setting. Its quite straightforward and can be tailored and modified as you wish. Some spreadsheet experience could be helpful but you can probably do just fine as is. The important thing is simply starting!

It runs in Microsoft Office Excel but if you do not have MS Office you can download the excellent Open Office program for free and run it in that so there are no excuses.

Download it as a workbook here :Goals Template1.xls

Or if you prefer you can download it as a workbook template here :Goals Template1.xlt

Have fun.

  3. I suggest that goals are followed through by continued review and refinement. There is a strong tendency to to list goals that we feel we “should” achieve along with ones that we really desire. For instance we may think that making a million in the next 5 years is a good goal BUT ,perhaps, what we most deeply want is some quiet time to rejuvenate and reflect on our lives. This may seem “lazy” or a “cop-out” and therefore not the sort of expansive go-getting goal we feel we ought to be setting so we side line that idea and list lots of stuff we’d like, that makes sense but isn’t actually in line with our true immediate needs or desires. As a result we lose interest and procrastinate. So goal one -meticulous self honesty and acceptance in each and every moment even if you do not like what you find. Never be afraid to change and refine your goals, they’re yours to do with as you wish. Notice how the goals that you do achieve and follow through on require very little push and willpower, they flow, even if it requires plenty of work.
