A Ticket To Prosperity

A Ticket To Prosperity

Christopher Dines

Review:

This is a great first book from a young man who is really walking his talk.

Having grown up as fairly wild and restless indiviual in London with no formal education Chris managed to build himself a successful career as a top flight night club DJ in demand at premier clubs all around the world.

In time he grew to recognise and dislike not only some of his behaviour but also that of many of the shady characters around him in the music industry. Feeling the deeper callings of his heart and soul ever more strongly he set about transforming his life once more.

As a result he has now re-invented himself as a teacher, gifting us with the wisdom of he has drawn from transforming his life through the study and practice of more spiritual ways of living and being in the modern world.

This enjoyable and insightful book shares what he has learned and gives you the tools to help you transform your life into whatever you dream it to be.

The Abundance Book - John Randolph Price

The Abundance Book

John Randolph Price

Review:

This book looks very much at the spiritual aspects of financial wealth and our beliefs around that. It invites us to really learn and accept that “God” is the source of all things. Now “God” is a very emotive term that can trigger all kind of negative images but don’t let that deter you. This is a very powerful, transformative book and if you stick with it you may just find some very positive changes occurring in your life.

If God is too challenging a word then you may feel more comfortable with the term the Universe or even The Force (Star Wars) either way the task is to realise deeply and personally that there is an all pervading energy working in through and around us that truly sustains us above and beyond the confines of our jobs and limited self identities. Becoming ever more conscious to the presence of that Force within us on a moment to moment basis opens us to ever greater abundance on every level for then we are connected to the very abundance of all existence.

This book is small, easy to read, yet full of wisdom. It includes “The 40-day Prosperity Plan” a powerful way to shift your limiting beliefs.

Findhorn Book of Daily Abundance

Findhorn Book of Daily Abundance

Karen Hood-Caddy

Review:

I recommend this little book highly. It is simple and concise and covers the many and varied obstacles that subconsciously block our ability to live in joy and have life work better for us. Naturally the author also offers ways to clear our path through these obstacles and so live more freely and abundantly. There is an excellent resource section with an overview of the many therapeutic energy techniques such as EFT that can be used to assist us. It’s a book about empowering you and your vision of what abundance means in your life. It is not one of those “I’ve made millions so should you” books but it could certainly help you on your way to making a fortune if that is really what you want to achieve.

The Architecture of All Abundance: Spirit in the Material World Lenedra Jewel Carroll

The Architecture of All Abundance: Spirit in the Material World

Lenedra Jewel Carroll

Review:

If you only read one book on this site then this is the one, read it and keep re-reading it. There is great wisdom and insight here.

I found this book both affirming and inspiring and cannot recommend it enough. Within it Lenedra J Carroll describes her seven foundations of abundance. The Architecture of a Life. The Architecture of Stillness. The Architecture of Prosperity, The Architecture of the Workplace, The Architecture of Health, The Architecture of Love and finally, The Architecture of the Soul.

Through each of these chapters she shares her profound life experiences and insights, illustrating by example how we can all learn to truly prosper spiritually and materially even within a career, such as hers, in the volatile entertainment industry.

Lenedra is the mother and manager of US recording artist Jewel and over the past several years, Lenedra and Jewel have created a unique partnership to promote positive influence and change from a worldwide platform. Their partnership encompasses several for profit businesses, as well as their humanitarian foundation, Higher Ground for Humanity (HGH). HGH promotes global community and individual action to inspire positive change.

The Field: The Quest for the Secret Force of the Universe

Lynne McTaggart

Review:

This book is great for people like me who can still struggle with some of the “mind over matter” teachings of that I am sharing on this web site. I have experienced and witnessed some incredible things during healing sessions that the science we meet on the news media would probably explain away as hallucinations and auto-suggestion etc. etc. The scientific establishment tell us for instance that homeopathy has no sound scientific basis yet myself and millions have experienced big benefits. How can that be? This books looks at the work of highly credible scientists working in major research centres who are inescapably finding that there is scientific basis for homeopathy and the so called paranormal.

“A book which gives scientific proof of the paranormal. Psychic activity, remote viewing, the power of prayer and homoeopathy are all discussed. The energy found in the vacuum – or the zero point field – seems to be the key to all sorts of unexplained phenomena: ESP or remote viewing, homeopathy, energy medicine, spiritual healing, and even the homing instincts of animals. Lynne McTaggart follows the life and work of disparate physicists, pioneers in the area where the paranormal meets quantum physics.”

Light Emerging - The Journey Of Personal Healing

Light Emerging - The Journey Of Personal Healing

Barbara Anne Brennan

Review:

This wonderful book describes the journey of personal healing in relation to the Human Energy Field or aura and you need not be ill to gain greatly from it. When I read this book I knew that I had to attend Barbara Brennan’s healing school in the USA (There is now one in Europe) in order to fully understand and embody the teachings within it to the level I that desired. If you are willing to consider the possibility that there is a great deal more occurring in, around and between us than we usually notice then this is for you. It is full of unique insights, spirit and timeless wisdom shared very humbly by a truly remarkable woman and has to be a must read for those seeking the deepest understanding of themselves, life and those around them.

Cradle to Cradle - Remaking the way we make things

Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things

William McDonough & Michael Braungart

Review:

Well this book really is practical and inspirational particularly because the authors are actually implementing their ideas with big business including the likes of The Ford Motor Company.

“Reduce, reuse, recycle,” urge environmentalists; in other words, do more with less in order to minimize damage. But as architect William McDonough and chemist Michael Braungart point out in this provocative, visionary book, such an approach only perpetuates the one-way, “cradle to grave” manufacturing model, dating to the Industrial Revolution, that creates such fantastic amounts of waste and pollution in the first place. Why not challenge the belief that human industry must damage the natural world? In fact, why not take nature itself as our model for making things? A tree produces thousands of blossoms in order to create another tree, yet we consider its abundance not wasteful but safe, beautiful, and highly effective.

Guided by this principle, McDonough and Braungart explain how products can be designed from the outset so that, after their useful lives, they will provide nourishment for something new. They can be conceived as “biological nutrients” that will easily reenter the water or soil without depositing synthetic materials and toxins. Or they can be “technical nutrients” that will continually circulate as pure and valuable materials within closed-loop industrial cycles, rather than being “recycled “-really, downcycled-into low-grade materials and uses. Drawing on their experience in (re)designing everything from carpeting to corporate campuses, McDonough and Braungart make an exciting and viable case for putting eco-effectiveness into practice, and show how anyone involved with making anything can begin to do so as well.

AskAndItIsGiven

Ask And It Is Given - Learning To Manifest Your Desires

Esther & Jerry Hicks (The Teachings Of Abraham)

Review:

This is one of many excellent books from Jerry and Esther Hicks presenting the teachings of the “nonphysical entity Abraham.” Such a statement may be challenging to your belief systems if you are not familiar with “channelling” and the like. However before you right it off as new age trivia I suggest you have a read and reflect on the wisdom contained within its pages. It is simple yet profound and always uplifts your spirits when you read from it. Perhaps the most useful aspect is the 22 exercises presented that allow you to shift your mood or feeling state in to one that more harmoniously allows you to create that which you wish to create in your life.

“Esther and Jerry Hicks’ first book presenting the teachings of the non-physical entity Abraham has drawn an extraordinary collection of endorsements from people keen to draw attention to the message that Abraham has to convey. Endorsements have been received from Neale Donald Walsch, John Gray, Wayne Dyer, Louise L. Hay, Jack Canfield and Christiane Northrup. This book explains how our relationships, health issues, finances, career concerns are influenced by the Universal laws that govern our time/space reality and describes powerful processes that will help people manifest their desires and live the fulfilling life you deserve.”

Seven Stages

The Seven Stages Of Money Maturity

George Kinder

Review:

This is in my opinion a truly excellent book that challenges you to deeply consider your beliefs, habits and relationship to money along with the greater and highest purposes of your life.

The Author describes it like so:-

“Understanding spiritual & psychological issues around money.
Are money and spirituality separate and incompatible? The Seven Stages of Money Maturity is my answer to this ancient, perennially vexing question. Like many of us, I used to think the two realms had nothing to do with one another. But now, after many years as both a Buddhist teacher and a certified financial planner, I realize that only when we fully understand the spiritual and psychological issues surrounding money is true freedom possible.

In The Seven Stages of Money Maturity I show readers what I have been sharing with clients and lecture audiences for years – the skill and wisdom needed to achieve financial peace, freedom, and security. The journey begins in understanding that we approach our relationship with money by moving through a series of developmental stages. Just as the title implies, The Seven Stages of Money Maturity lays out the emotional dilemmas presented at each step on the path and demonstrates how to move through them toward the sense of ease around dollars and cents that is money maturity.

The Seven Stages of Money Maturity shows readers how to identify internalized messages about money, understand the feelings that affect financial decisions, develop new skills in dealing with money, and take on money tasks with enthusiasm and optimism. The payoff is great: the deep freedom that comes from letting go of old patterns and painful habits and the boundless satisfaction of living a life that is fulfilling both financially and spiritually.”

Spiritual Capital

Spiritual Capital - Wealth We Can Live By

Danah Zohar & Ian Marshall

Review:

Interesting one this and worth reading. It is quite an intellectual read that offers hope and vision of how global corporate culture is changing in positive ways. In part the authors site Coca-Cola as an example of a company that is accruing enormous “spiritual capital” by putting its distribution networks in India and Africa at the service of the respective national governments to distribute polio and AIDS medication. As well as its “Project Peace” building health clinics throughout China and southeast Asia. The cynics amongst us might merely see these acts as little more than opportunistic marketing ploys. But hey lets be positive -well done Coca-Cola.

In this volume Danah Zohar and Ian Marshall envisage two scenarios. The first is business as we know it today – all short-term interest, short-term gain and isolationist thinking, with the material bottom line as king. The second envisages a business culture driven by fundamental values and a deep sense of purpose in which wealth is accumulated to generate a decent profit while acting to raise the common good. The emphasis is on “stake-holder value”, where stake-holders include the human race, present and future, and the planet itself. These are the values of this book. The crucial question, which Zohar and Marshall address is: how we can move from one scenario to the other? They show how we need to consider three types of capital to make the leap. Rational intelligence (IQ) and emotional intelligence (EQ) are needed to diagnose the contemporary situation, and then the 12 qualities of spiritual intelligence (SQ) can be used to bring about the final transformation. The ultimate goal is sustainable capitalism within a framework of a more meaningful working life.

The Street Kids Guide To Having It All

The Street Kids Guide To Having It All

John Assaraf

Review:

If you want a simple no nonsense guide to creating the life of your dreams, whatever those dreams may be, then John Assaraf tells you how in a very easy and direct manner which includes excellent advice on harnessing the full power of your subconscious mind and belief systems.

Many motivational teachers appear to focus almost entirely on financial wealth with life purpose, balance, relationships, spiritual, mental, and physical health seeming to follow somewhere lower down on the priority list. On this occasion John does not.

With John having it all means – having it all – a full joyous, abundant life on every level according to your ethics and dreams. He certainly seems to be living testimony to just that. If you are at all commited to this subject matter then give serious consideration to buying this book and following the instructions.

The One Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealth

The One Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealth

Mark Victor Hansen & Robert G. Allen

Review:

I enjoyed this book, its full of extremely useful and inspiring advice on how to get rich (in whatever way that means to you), why you should and how, with the right incentive, you could. As it is written by two very wealthy men it provides quite an insight into how such people function. I do not consider all the ideas within it to be that “enlightened” however.

“The core of the book is a parable about Michelle, a widowed mother whose life is on the brink of ruin: unless she can raise a million dollars quickly she will lose custody of her children. Coupled with this story, is Robert Allen’s practical advice for achieving financial success. His advice parallels the action in Michelle’s story, as he urges us to identify our fears and doubts, and eliminate from our lives all the roadblocks that limit our financial potential.
Together these two stories work as a powerful tool of self¬discovery, an inspirational lesson for unlocking the winner in all of us.”

The Power Of Now

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightment

Eckhart Tolle

Review:

This book has a startlingly simple yet vital lesson – be present fully in the moment. The material is very clearly presented and many of the mental and emotional blocks that hold us away from being fully in the Now are explored and described.

“It’s no wonder that The Power of Now has sold over 2 million copies worldwide and has been translated into over 30 foreign languages. Much more than simple principles and platitudes, the book takes readers on an inspiring spiritual journey to find their true and deepest self and reach the ultimate in personal growth and spirituality: the discovery of truth and light. In the first chapter, Tolle introduces readers to enlightenment and its natural enemy, the mind. He awakens readers to their role as a creator of pain and shows them how to have a pain-free identity by living fully in the present. The journey is thrilling, and along the way, the author shows how to connect to the indestructible essence of our Being, “the eternal, ever-present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death.” Featuring a new preface by the author, this paperback shows that only after regaining awareness of Being, liberated from Mind and intensely in the Now, is there Enlightenment.”
