An Abundant Worldview

How might humanity live if we had an “abundance consciousness”?
Lets consider three key indicators of an “abundance consciousness”:
- A deep felt awareness of abundance, that there is enough even if or when it appears otherwise.
- A deep felt awareness of connection and oneness with all things, all life, all spirit.
- A deep felt and timeless sense that “all is well”.
When one truly feels the above then our old habitual negative, defensive and fearful human behaviour patterns fall by the wayside as they are no longer needed.
Imagine how it would be if humanity felt this way as a whole?
- Wars would cease because we’d know and feel that hurting each other was actually hurting us all.
- Greed would cease because we’d know that there is enough, that there’s no need to hoard, nothing to fear.
- We’d give more and take less.
- Our “all is well” perspective would allow us to tackle such “problems” as climate change, pollution, resource depletion and the like with unity and confidence because we’d now perceive the “problem” as no more than a creative trigger for creative solutions.
However, with this new found “abundance consciousness” everything doesn’t just become all hunky-dory per se, our troubles don’t simply evaporate BUT the way in which we relate to these troubles does change immensely.
We’ll become engaged in addressing the issues of our world collectively, wholeheartedly rather than disjointedly and half-heartedly. When we feel our connection to each other and all things then we become much better at listening to and exchanging views, ideas and opinions with one another. We’ll feel far more inclined to assist one another.
A persons differing viewpoint is now never seen as a threat or challenge to our own limited self identity, thoughts or worldview but rather as something interesting to be studied and learnt from. This new behaviour continues to bring us ever closer together.
Whereas in the past we may have harboured some “you’re either with us or your against us” types of reactionary responses to conflicting viewpoints we are now genuinely interested and intrigued by the views and cultures of others, as they are with ours. We become united in our differences.
On a personal relational level this means that if, for instance, our partner takes up golf but we “hate” golf that this is not a “problem” , reason or excuse for extra distance or mis-understanding between us but simply a “difference”, no more no less, no threat, no agenda, no unease.
We’re all inspired and motivated by differing things, we don’t have to agree with each other or unite under a common cause in order to feel safe and at ease once we realise that we’re united already. When we feel genuinely connected and interested in each other regardless of differing beliefs then the fighting or pushing against one another just stops as it serves no purpose.
With “a deep felt awareness of abundance, that there is enough _even if or when it appears otherwise”_ a great many things change. This feeling is very expansive and allows us to open and relax and for new solutions to present themselves. Solutions that were invisible when we were constricted, afraid and anxious.
Under a deeply lack based consciousness we continually have to fight for survival which leads to, lying, cheating, greed, theft, corruption, betrayal and the like. With an abundance consciousness, however, we naturally feel safe and therefore do not need these defences as we just “know” that life supports us and provides for us even during the times when it seems it does not.
This permits us to move through experiences of contraction and apparent lack optimistically knowing that this too shall pass, that we are just a drop in a much bigger ocean whose purpose and movement is often beyond our limited egoic understanding. Our small individualised self may feel scared at times but access to an abiding sense of well being remains open and available.
We’re able to fully accept what is whilst also applying ourselves towards what we want. We can be simultaneously aware of our spiritual completeness and our material emptiness. We now walk in both worlds with the felt, known, totality of our spiritual existence bringing healing, support, courage and comfort to our fearful limited egoic human self.
Our challenges continue but with an Abundant Worldview we now enjoy rather than resist them.
Applying this in the “real world” Now
I’m here writing about abundance as if I know something about the subject and I believe I do for I have lived such a blessed, fortunate, serendipitous life. Yet I still face challenges of supposed lack in my life.
For instance my superyacht painting business moves in the rarefied world of some of the financially wealthiest people on the planet but is nevertheless troubled by late payments or non payments from our shipyard customers.
Are my/our cash flow difficulties caused by my lack consciousness? Are they a reflection of where I’m blocking the flow through my unconscious negativity? Perhaps it is more representative of the collective vibration of my company as a whole, of all our sub-contractors and their staff combined? I suspect it is a mixture of the two. Its a work in progress.
I do not set about lecturing or trying to convince any of the people involved with “Jacksons” to apply the ideas or principals I share on this web site. I do not believe in forcing my ideas on others I’m just offering them up here to whoever is interested.
However I do feel that my faith and trust in the workings and abundance of life does allow me to function hopefully and a great deal less stressfully within this wealthy industry filled by so many people who value money and material things extremely highly; often well beyond what I may consider fair, equitable or ethical.
I like to think that we make a positive contribution with our positive, collaborative approach in the “real world”.
Its still a hopeful future.
